TPBOK Domain Share of Examination Items
Percentage weighting reflects the proportion of scored items drawn from each published domain.
Microservices, event-driven streaming, caching tiers, scalability trade-offs, and incremental legacy migration
Release trains, architectural decision records (ADRs), technical debt management, flow metrics, and tailoring the delivery approach
RAG system topologies, vector databases, enterprise AI security, and the machine learning life cycle (training data, fine-tuning, model operations)

Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must satisfy either Route A or Route B prior to exam scheduling.
Bachelor's degree + 36 months technical leadership experience
High school diploma + 60 months technical leadership experience

Examination Policies, Scoring & Retake Rules
Plain-language rules governing scoring, retakes, cancellations, and accreditation.
Tiered Psychometric Passing Standard
Tiered standard: 65% for foundational (ATP), 70% for CTP and specialty credentials, 75% for executive leadership (PgTP, PfTP). Evaluated via psychometrically calibrated scaled scoring with no negative marking. There is no negative marking for incorrect choices; candidates are advised to answer every question. Score reports display performance bandings by TPBOK domain.
1 Retake Included in Registration Plan
1 re-examination attempt included with your founding examination registration. Candidates who do not pass on their first sitting may schedule their retry after a recommended 14-day study period without paying a re-examination fee. Candidates have up to 12 months from their registration date to use their included retake sitting.
Reschedule-Only Policy (No Cancellation Fees)
Reschedule-only. Examination voucher fees are non-refundable once registered. However, candidates can reschedule their exam sitting free of charge up to 24 hours prior to their scheduled exam window. If you need to postpone or change your appointment time, you can do so through the Candidate Portal with zero penalty as long as it is done at least 24 hours prior to the sitting.
